I want to thank my friend Patrick Awa (who happens to be an amazing designer btw) for inviting me to participate in this cool art auction to support the relief efforts in Japan. It's difficult at times to know how to react in the face of disaster. I'm honored and grateful to be able to contribute alongside a bunch of other talented artists in the spirit of compassion and aid. Here's the flier and a link to the Maverix Studios blog where you can see other amazing pieces being donated...

Here's a piece I recently did for the Drawing Dreams Foundation. They have lots of fun and inspiring art on their website. I especially like the children's art:)

I recently had the opportunity to work with 2 of my favorite artists, Luis Grane and Max Graenitz, on this TV commercial. Max and Luis are truly amazing and they assembled an all-star team of animators for the project. For some crazy reason they asked me to help art direct and paint the backgrounds:) It was a blast.

Most of my time over the last three years was spent on the Gatchaman project at Imagi Studios. I'm extremely proud of the effort and dedication of everyone involved in making the film despite the outcome. I pulled these screenshots of the film from my friend Felix Ip's blog. Felix is an amazing individual, you should definitely check out his site when you get a chance, it's a treat.

Well, I'm ashamed to admit it's been 3 years since my last post. A number of excuses come to mind for my blogging inactivity but they all sound pretty weak when stated aloud. So if anyone besides my folks still visit, I apologize for my laziness. Here's a look at something I did recently. More to come:)

Thought I'd put up a few pieces I did a while ago while I was working at Midway in San Diego on Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows. This was my first time working on a video game and it was a great experience. I spent most of my time designing environments but on occasion they let me have some fun with characters. Loved working with the Gauntlet crew, hope you guys are doing well.
